Over the years I have used many different resources, but my favorite one is this one of JoAnn's - "Rapha's Touch." So many of the books are very clinical, or stern, or shaming in their religiosity. This book is gentle, informative, comforting and healing. The women love her book.If you want to begin your healing journey by reading a text, this is the one.

JoAnn has shared a book that is full of practical understanding and well-documented advice for those who need healing from sexual abuse. If I had my way, a copy of this book would be read by everyone who has experienced this wounding, has physical, emotional and even spiritual scars resulting from going through it and the reactions of many well-meaning but ignorant folk who do damage with cliches and inappropriate judgments, and anyone giving support, counsel, or caring comfort either as a spouse, a caseworker, a facilitator for support groups, a minister or other. Well written and NOT a kind of feminist manifesto, but completely helpful in so many very real positive ways.
